Child Services

Adult and Child center has been providing services to children and families since 1949 in the Indianapolis area.  We are an Indiana State Licensed Child Placing Agency and we operate a full outpatient continuum of child and family mental health and support services.  Our multi-disciplinary teams are based in over 100 schools and various communities around Marion and Johnson Counties to best serve our consumers in their homes communities.  We believe in a trauma informed approach to working with children and families because we understand the dramatic affects trauma can have on a child and a family. We believe in child safety, strong family involvement, and accountability.  Research shows children thrive in healthy and supportive environments.  We want every child to feel loved, supported, and valuable and we work very hard with every parent to help each child thrive in their personal, social, and educational lives. Through evidence based practices like Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person Centered Planning, our clinicians are uniquely trained to work with families in setting and achieving their personal treatment goals. We work very closely with the Indiana Department of Child Services to effectively treat and keep our children safe. http://youtu.be/MMUjCbHvVjc?list=PLk9WO-Ng3TBgBystvkknWgNp3e17ppp3Y
