Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

Adult & Child Health strives to create an environment for staff and clients that is diverse, inclusive, and honors all people’s experiences.

Support various DEIB campaigns and initiatives at Adult & Child Health through our Bonfire apparel store. A portion of all proceeds will be donated back to A&C to support each group’s mission.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Commission

To affirm our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, Adult & Child Health has implemented a DEIB Commission. This group of staff members was selected to collaborate with current DEIB focus groups and to give a more structured space to identify and incorporate new DEIB initiatives.

The DEIB Commission created Mission, Vision, and Values statements to direct their efforts within our agency.

Integrated DEI Activities: The Beauty in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity

Adult & Child has embedded culturally-focused activities into monthly Team Leader meetings. These activities are led by a member of the DEIB Commission and then taken back to individual teams and incorporated into staff development conversations.

Employee-Led Taskforces

Our task forces are voluntary employee-led teams that serve as resources for diversity initiatives, program development, cultural celebration, idea implementation, and recruitment.

These teams bring agency-wide value in their efforts to enhance cultural sensitivity and awareness, in addition to supporting agency-related diversity initiatives.

Agency staff are currently represented with LGBTQIA+ and Black Cultural Awareness task forces; however, leadership is continually looking to increase the number of resources for additional marginalized groups.
